Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our healthcare facility. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with orthopedic conditions or injuries. Your expertise in orthopedic physical therapy combined with your strong interpersonal skills will contribute to the improvement of patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, medical history, and functional limitations related to orthopedic conditions or injuries.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on restoring physical function, reducing pain, and promoting overall wellness.
- Administer a wide range of evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapeutic modalities, and functional training.
- Regularly monitor and reassess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for self-management, injury prevention, and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthopedic physical therapy through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines established by the governing bodies and professional associations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Proven experience in orthopedic physical therapy, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- In-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, and orthopedic conditions.
- Proficient in evaluating, diagnosing, and developing evidence-based treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions or injuries.
- Demonstrated ability to implement a wide range of physical therapy interventions effectively.
- Strong manual therapy skills, including joint mobilizations, soft tissue techniques, and therapeutic exercises.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
